Welcome to the official update log for The StoryForge Initiative.
Here, we document our milestones, achievements, and ongoing progress as we grow from a local project into a national support network for indie authors.
All updates are listed chronologically, with the newest entries at the top.
The StoryForge Initiative has officially begun taking shape!
DBA Established:
The StoryForge Initiative name is now officially registered as a Texas DBA, marking the legal start of our mission.
Website Launched:
The official website (storyforgeauthors.org) is now live, featuring our mission, transparency, and community pages.
We’re continuing to add content and functionality over the coming weeks.
Transparency Page Active:
A live, embedded Google Sheet now tracks every dollar of income and expense — keeping our finances open to the public from day one.
Initial Funding Secured:
We’ve begun building our operating fund with an initial $75 contribution from the founder and recurring biweekly personal funding.
Additional funds will be added through community support via GoFundMe (coming soon).
Community Infrastructure:
Our official Discord server has been reorganized to reflect the full mission of StoryForge — expanding beyond app development to a true author support hub.
Promotional Materials:
Work has started on StoryForge’s first outreach materials, including informational handouts and visual infographics for author group presentations.
Each step brings us closer to our first major milestone — the purchase of the initial 100 ISBNs to launch the StoryForge ISBN program.
